Mind the Gap: Designing Residencies for Everyone, London 2023
In 2023 as Executive Director of Res Artis, I led a conference in collaboration with Acme and University College London (UCL) titled Mind the Gap: Designing Residencies for Everyone. Held from 6-9 September 2023, the event focused on practical ways to encourage Diversity, Equity, Access and Inclusion in today’s increasingly fragmented world. Topics included support for neurodiverse artists and artist mothers and carers. In total 244 arts residency representatives, curators, researchers and artists participated from 27 countries.

Under the Midnight Sun, Finnish Lapland, 2018
In 2023 I led a Res Artis conference in Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland titled Under the Midnight Sun in collaboration with the Arts Promotion Centre of Finland and City of Rovaniemi. The conference was attended by over 200 people from 30 countries and focused on themes of First Peoples residencies and ethical tourism. Speakers included Indigenous representatives from Finland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Participants had the opportunity to engage with Sámi culture and undertake excursions to nearby arts residency centres, the Arctic Circle, and even visit Santa!
